Yinteriors
Max & Charlotte, Co-Founders
“Our careers, interests and spiritual journeys have been intertwined for over a decade.”
We first met in 2011. Thrown together as client and agency for Cadbury’s London 2012 Olympics campaign, we hit it off immediately. When Max started a new role at the Royal Institute of British Architects and needed a strategy for a new campaign the first person she contacted was Charlotte, who had just launched her new creative consultancy. For a decade our shared passion for brilliant creative work and great design kept bringing us back together to collaborate.
Meanwhile we were also both exploring our own personal development and spiritual practices. Out of all of this Yinteriors was a natural progression. It evolved organically through our shared interests and beliefs, hundreds of conversations, and a strikingly similar aesthetic.
The name Yinteriors is a celebration of the divine feminine energy that exists in all things. In our former careers in brand and marketing we would have been considered quite ‘yang’ or masculine in our approach to getting things done. We live in a pretty yang world. However, through our own personal and spiritual exploration, we have embraced our femininity (yin) and we deeply appreciate the effortless flow and beauty that comes from learning to balance these two life forces.

Max
Feng Shui Consultant & Home Healer.
I was born in London where I still live and where I’ve raised my family. I love cities and their incredible mix of energies and building styles, but I also appreciate the unique and beautiful qualities of the different spaces we live in, whether urban, suburban, rural or coastal.
I had a 30 year career in brand and marketing, a large part of which was spent with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). It really helped me to understand how people interact with their environment and how good design can influence behaviour and improve lives. I worked on the Stirling Prize for architecture and RIBA Grand Designs House of the Year for a decade and saw the transformative power of amazing design in buildings large and small.
I worked with two amazing architects on my five-year home renovation project. I made sure I was closely involved in every decision, it was fascinating and I learned so much – ultimately, how to take a small Victorian terraced house and turn it into something rather wonderful.
Alongside my day job, in 2008 I started on a journey of self-development to deal with some personal issues and because I wanted to feel happier and be a better parent. This led to me training in energy healing and integral core therapy.
All of my story is brought together and utilised in my Feng Shui practice. Feng Shui is a powerful wisdom that is thousands of years old. I believe we can change our lives by bringing our homes into harmony and balance.
My approach is holistic, client-focused, and grounded in a deep and heartfelt understanding of the importance of home within our difficult, wonderful, and sometimes hilarious human experience.
If we look after our home, our home will look after us.

Interior Design Consultant.
Everything I’ve done in my life has led me to this moment. Ever evolving, I live my life following my passions and my dreams, always working with interesting and wonderful people, in inspiring surroundings.
Born and raised in London, I have spent most of my life admiring the engineering marvel that is the Underground, being surrounded by beautiful old buildings and being in close proximity to modern architecture. I’ve seen the city evolve from having a quiet, unloved Southbank whose main visitors were skaters to a packed out riverside destination on a hot summers’ day. I’ve seen the skyline develop with things popping up and being knocked down. I’ve seen the ghost of Battersea Power station out of a train window for almost forty years, only to see it being brought back to life as shopping mall and waterfront development.
I studied Art & Design at the University of the Arts London (UAL), and Business & Marketing at UWE. I’ve worked in brand and marketing for a couple of decades with some of the world’s most famous (and the most niche) brands. I have over 20 years’ experience working with clients one-to-one, as part of a agency creative team, or within a client’s team.
I established my creative brand consultancy, COLAB London in 2012. As a Creative Strategy Director and Brand Consultant, most of my clients in the past 12 years have operated in the architecture, interiors, marina destinations, property development and built environment spheres. It has taught me a lot – but what it taught me the most is that is what I want to be doing, creating places for people. My expertise in understanding the interaction between people and places in my brand work, has led me here.
I have two successful full home renovations under my belt. One was done slowly and stealthily, an evolution over the course of 10 years. The other was a whirlwind full renovation – a revolution – planned and undertaken in 5 months.
One of the proudest moments of my career so far was having a concept showcased at the London Design Biennale 2021. It was one of 12 that was shortlisted and an ‘expert pick’ and part of the Design in an Age of Crisis exhibit at Somerset House.
Another proud career moment was creating a campaign for the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) back in 2013 when I was pregnant with my son – working with Kevin McCloud for a day as we shot a film on the London Underground. I’ve also had a lot of my brand strategy and written work picked up and published in magazines including Elle Decoration and Dezeen.
I have always been fascinated by human psychology, I am a trained wellbeing coach with 7 years’ experience coaching one-to-one as well as working as a design-thinking coach, facilitating ideation and problem-solving workshops with groups of clients.
