Working with us

The guiding principle of our work is Feng Shui. Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art and science that seeks to create harmonious environments by balancing the energies in a given space, promoting health, wealth, and positive relationships. It works on the basis that what shows up in our environment shows up in our lives, and so by optimising our environment - primarily our home environment - we create the potential to improve aspects of ourselves and our lives that we would like to work on.

What to expect

Part 1: Initial consultation (1 hour)

Every aspect of our work is based on the individual client so that’s where we start. In this initial session we will guide you through some questions about your home, where you are in your life, and any issues or areas that you want to explore.

We will discuss the home visit, including agreeing who will be involved (e.g. just you or other family members), and identify the top two or three things you would really like to achieve.

We’ll run through your floor plan (if you don’t have one, a simple hand-drawn outline of the space is enough) and any other info we need in order to make the most of the time we spend at your home.

We’ll schedule the home visit to take place (ideally) within a couple of weeks of the initial consultation.

What to expect

Part 2: Home visit (2-3 hours)

We begin by taking a look at the location of your property, how it’s situated, and the general energy of your external environment. Depending on what we observe we might also take a walk around the neighbourhood with you.

As you can see, a lot happens before we even step through your front door!

We will then ask you to walk us through your space. We’ll be asking questions, evaluating how the energy flows, and picking up on anything we intuitively feel. We’ll begin to point out observations about the balance and harmony of the space through furniture placement, materials, colours, art and other decor. Often we’ll start to make changes there and then if that feels comfortable for you. We will do some space clearing if needed, and together we will set an intention for a positive outcome from the process.

You can ask us questions the whole way through and we can adapt our areas of focus based on what comes up during our visit.

What to expect

Part 3: Consultation report (within a week of the home visit)

We will send your consultation report which includes a summary of the discussion and observations made during our visit plus a clear and manageable action plan for you to follow.

If you have bought a design focused package you will also receive mood boards and product and supplier recommendations for any items you wish to purchase.

Part 4: Follow up (4-6 weeks after the home visit)

We want you to get the most from the process and so we’re available to answer any questions about your consultation report or the changes you’re making to your home.

Finally, we offer a follow up call to see how you are progressing, what’s working, and what you might wish to do next.
